Absolute Accounting Software has developed an affordable and easy to use software solution to enable taxpayers to comply with MTD for Income Tax. The software can be used for anyone that has registered with HMRC for MTD IT from April 2026, either based on income levels or signing up early to take part in the new filing process

The new Absolute Excel Income Tax Filer will:

• Let taxpayers, accountants or bookkeepers use Excel spreadsheets to record income and expenses.
• Use bridging software to link spreadsheets digitally with HMRC’s MTD APIs.
• Comply with the MTD for Income Tax regulations.
• Be a simple and cost effective solution which does not require expensive bookkeeping/accounting software or force people to change the way they work.

The Absolute Excel Income Tax Filer has been developed on the back of our hugely successful Absolute Excel VAT Filer bridging software, which has been used by tens of thousands of business owners and accountants to file Making Tax Digital compatible VAT returns.

Please note: the software does not support Foreign Property quarterly submissions in the 2026/27 tax year.
